Powerhouse Theatre
This contemporary studio-style theatre provides a flexible performance space seating up to 556. It has various seating configurations allowing for extended end stage, dance mode, cabaret and a number of other permutations, as well as a variety of seating formats from raked seating to banquet mode.

Commercial rates
Monday – Saturday single day hire $1,970 + GST (additional performances on same day $270 +GST)
Monday – Saturday six day hire $8,480 + GST
Sunday and Public Holiday single day hire $2,740 +GST (additional performances on same day $530 + GST)
Seven day hire $11,230+GST
Production Costs
A Production Cost Estimate based on the information you provide in the Production Details Form will be forwarded to you for approval prior to Bump In.
Brisbane Powerhouse requires that a minimum of one member of our in-house technical staff be employed as a crew member on your event.
There will be additional technical labour charges if you want to increase the stage area and reduce the seating capacity past our standard layout.
This venue comes with a standard equipment allocation. A fee of $300 will apply for the installation of this equipment into a standard "square one rig" configuration.
Front of House
Provision of a Duty Manager or deputy and two ushers is included in the Venue Hire Fee for each performance to meet safety and, at the discretion of Venue Management, service levels. At the discretion of Brisbane Powerhouse management, an extra usher will be rostered onto Powerhouse Theatre events when the Upper Gallery is released for sale.
Public Liability Insurance
The hirer will be required to provide a copy of their Certificate of Currency for Public Liability Insurance (minimum of $10,000,000 coverage) that covers the period of hire.
Visy Theatre
An intimate thrust-stage theatre, seating up to 200 for performances. Dramatically framed by the columns from the original building, the Visy Theatre provides the ideal vehicle for intimate performances, cabaret, film screenings, forums, readings and meetings.

Turbine Hall & Platform
The Turbine Platform is located in the Turbine Building, a large cathedral-like space which is the heart of the entire Brisbane Powerhouse complex…. It is important to note that this space is generally open to the General Public. The Platform space itself can be sectioned off for exclusive use however the general public will normally still have access to the spaces surrounding the platform. Hirers do have the option to hire the entire venue if they require exclusive use of the Turbine Hall (price on application).

Production Costs
All equipment and technical labour is in addition to the Venue Hire Fee.
Technical and production requirements will be discussed and a Production Cost Estimate will be forwarded to you for approval prior to Bump In.

Front of House
All front of house staffing is in addition to the Venue Hire fee and a discussion will take place with the hirer to gauge requirements. Front of House personnel will be rostered onto the event to meet safety and, at the discretion of Venue Management, service levels.
Public Liability Insurance
The hirer will be required to provide a copy of their Certificate of Currency for Public Liability Insurance (minimum of $10,000,000 coverage) that covers the period of hire.
Box Office Costs
Event set-up fee -$55.00 for single performances OR $88.00 for multiple performances
Inside charges - $2.20 per ticket for advertised price of $27.00 or less OR $3.30 per ticket for advertised price of $27.01 and over.
Credit Card & EFTPOS Fee - All tickets booked on credit card and EFTPOS will incur a fee of 3%.
Internet ticket sales - All tickets booked on internet will incur a credit card fee of 3% plus GST.
Zero priced or complimentary tickets - All tickets generated at the Hirer’s request will be charged at $0.55c per ticket.
Booking Fee - All tickets purchased via the phone, internet and in person at the Box Office counter attract a $2 booking fee per ticket payable by the patron. There are no additional charges for postage of telephone bookings.
Advertised ticket prices - All advertising must communicate a ticket price inclusive of the inside charge, booking fee and GST (if applicable).
