Pop-Up Suitcase Rummage is a mini-scaled market with giant rewards. Bring a suitcase (or two!) filled to the brim with your goods and treats and enjoy a day amongst entry-level entrepreneurs and locally produced handmade, recycled and up-cycled products.
You can be a part of the Rummage experience by selling wares or come along to buy some real beauties. There will be vintage, artwork, bric-a-brac, clothing, books, jewellery, seconds, hand-made, shoes, records, music, badges, cards, handmade paper… you name it. Come for a bargain, a swap, or an old fashioned haggle.

Crafternoon at Suitcase Rummage
Suitcase Rummage’s workshop for May is learning the art of crochet. Join Federica Mandrioli to learn the basics of this traditional and wonderful craft.
In this workshop you will learn basic crochet techniques, most common stitches, shaping and changing colour. Put this all together and you will leave with the know-how to create a granny square, but more importantly, a super cute crochet bow!!
We will provide a selection of wools and hooks to work with on the day, however you are more than welcome to bring your own along.
When: Sun 31 May
Where: Performance Lawn, Brisbane Powerhouse (this is the grassy area to the left of the Powerhouse Building. Please look for the Suitcase Rummage Market, the workshop will be set up opposite this.)
Cost: $30 (+bf)
Suitable for keen crafters of 12+, If you are under the age of 15, we ask that you are accompanied by an adult. The workshop will be taught at an adult level. You do not need any prior art or craft experience – you will learn all the skills necessary to make your Crochet Bow during the workshop. The workshop will have a maximum of 10 participants, so it will be an intimate and hands on learning experience.
