THU 18–SAT 20 FEBRUARY, 2016

Presented by Brisbane Powerhouse

Prepare to question what you believe and why you believe it in this multi-award-winning Edinburgh Fringe hit.

What lies at the heart of conviction? Is it fact or a burning belief that isn’t explainable? A fiercely intelligent theatre experience, this one-manshow explores the phenomenon of Confirmation Bias—our choice to look beyond the facts and see only the evidence that proves we’re right.

Using real-life dialogues and imagined struggles, Confirmation shines a light on both political extremism and social liberalism to decode our everyday decision making processes.

Warwick Arts Centre and China Plate present Confirmation. Commissioned by Northern Stage and Battersea Arts Centre.

Written and performed by Chris Thorpe. Developed with and Directed by Rachel Chavkin.

Rachel Chavkin’s fast-moving, kinetic production offers us an absolutely compelling performance from a man who is fast becoming one of the most powerful performers in the UK. ★★★★

The Scotsman

Thorpe and director Rachel Chavkin energetically take a liberal Fringe audience to the edge of the abyss of belief and hang them over the side in a conversation for our times. ★★★★
