Steve Hughes

Nervous Breakthrough

TUE 15–SUN 20 MARCH, 2016

Presented by Brisbane Powerhouse and Century Entertainment

Don’t miss Internationally renowned comedian Steve Hughes with a brand new, hilarious ‘tell it like it is’ show.

After two years spent recovering from a nervous breakdown, a broken heart and a stint in rehab, Hughes is lucky to be alive let alone funny. But when your life turns to Hell, there’s got to be a few laughs in there somewhere.

After twenty years touring in over 35 countries, Hughes does it the only way he knows how –  confronting, thought provoking and always hilarious.

Back for six shows only.

This is exactly what political comedy should be: intelligent, provocative, profound and topped off with good, solid gags. See him while it’s still legal.

Acutely observed and cutting bone-deep…. with an honesty and openness rarely seen among comics. His insights are spot on, his opinions are intelligent and his jokes are top class

He's read the so-called social contract and is deeply suspicious of it….Like art and travel, Steve Hughes reminds us that things can be otherwise than they are. Whether you like him or not, that's something we could do with more of in this country. Much more.
