In the Warm Room

The Music of Kate Bush 1978-1980

FRI 09 JUNE, 2017

Presented by Brisbane Powerhouse and Electric Moon

Following their outstanding success presenting Ziggy Stardust (MELT Festival 2016, Queensland Cabaret Festival 2016 and Melbourne Cabaret Festival 2016), Transformer (Queensland Cabaret Festival 2015 and Wonderland 2016), and Hedwig 15 (MELT Festival 2017), Electric Moon premieres their new stage show, In the Warm Room: The Music of Kate Bush 1978-1980.

Performing key songs from the albums The Kick Inside, Lionheart and Never for Ever, Bush fans will relive and fall in love all over again with the stunning music, wild vocals and layered lyrics that established this iconic and unique artist.

Through the voices of eight seasoned cabaret performers will shine Bush’s creativity, imagination and innovation unparalleled in contemporary music. With an equal balance of male and female vocalists, musical director James Lees will guide a 10 piece band through these wonderous songs, reimagined for a theatrical live performance setting.

Starring Sandro Colarelli, Lisa Crawley, Josh Daveta, Bethan Ellsmore, Daniel Hack, SS.Sebastian, Lucinda Shaw and Alison St Ledger, this is undoubtedly another unmissable event being performed for the first time at Queensland Cabaret Festival.

As part of Queensland Cabaret Festival.
