A fresh take on classic Māori showbands, the Modern Māori Quartet are a good looking, suave and multi-talented Māori foursome who love crooning their spin on modern and classic numbers.

Hailing from different corners of Aotearoa, the Modern Māori Quartet will make their Australian premiere at the Queensland Cabaret Festival 2017, showcasing hearty renditions of classic hits as well as original waiata (songs) off their debut album, That’s Us!

Reviews

Billed as the new face of Māori showbands, handsome, hilarious and harmonious, The Modern Māori Quartet is entertainment at its best.

Theatreview

Without exception, all their voices show a fine degree of honing and a wide range of good sound, including universally strong falsetto.

Otago Daily Times

It’s not surprising that the members of MMQ are all, first and foremost, brilliant actors. Coincidentally, they happen to be amazing musicians that explode with chemistry whenever they’re in the same room.
