The Audreys Duo

The Audreys celebrate their 3 consecutive ARIA winning albums and the release of The Audreys “Collected” with an intimate duo show in the cosy surrounds of the Visy Theatre.

The Audreys critically acclaimed album Sometimes the Stars won the ARIA for Best Blues & Roots Album. This is the third ARIA for the band, who have now won the same ARIA award for each of their three album releases since their debut in 2006.

This is a rare achievement in Australian history books and has had the historians digging through the archives to check if has been done before.

It’s no mean feat either, as the band have come up against the cream of the crop of blues and roots artists, and singer songwriters across the 3 ARIA wins, including The Waifs and John Butler Trio twice, Angus and Julia Stone, Bernard Fanning, Blue King Brown and the list goes on.

The ARIA win has marked a return to the live touring scene for the band, after a 10 month hiatus while lead singer and songwriter, Taasha Coates settled into parenthood with the pregnancy and birth of her first child in July of 2011.
