If you’re new to Brisbane you’ll find New Farm an exciting destination to base your adventures from.
New Farm is a leafy suburb bordered on two sides by the Brisbane river, with numerous bike paths and beautiful parks. Several city buses run regularly from the suburb to the inner city and beyond, as well as CityCat services that give visitors a scenic ride down the Brisbane River with stops at popular tourist spots like South Bank, the Cultural Centre and the inner city.
There is a wide array of accommodation close to our venue that caters to every budget. Brisbane Powerhouse recommends The Johnson, Tryp Hotel, Sofitel Brisbane, Kirribilli Riverfront Apartments, Edward Lodge and Heal House for both short term and longer visits.
Dining and refreshment options are numerous, with our two restaurants Bar Alto and Watt Restaurant + Bar offering fine dining, casual meals, and bar options. Merthyr Village is a popular option for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and there is a supermarket, several independent grocery stores and the award-winning butcher Rayners Meats.
Whether you plan to shop in the many boutiques, explore the burgeoning food scene, or take in a show, you’ll find that New Farm is the perfect place to start.
We hope to see you here soon and encourage you to try something new.
