brisbane powerhouse is temporarily closed. more info here
26 Mar 2020
Brisbane Powerhouse will temporarily close to the public from Tuesday 24 March, following the Federal Government’s advice to limit non-essential services to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
While we are deeply saddened to shut our doors, the health and well-being of our employees, artists, audiences, and the wider Brisbane Powerhouse community is our top priority at this time.
Currently, all productions and exhibitions up to Tuesday 30 June have been postponed, rescheduled or cancelled.
We will monitor the situation as it unfolds, assess all programmed events and performances on a case-by-case basis and will advise ticket holders if further changes are made.
We thank all of our wonderful patrons and visitors for their understanding and warm wishes at this difficult time and ask for their continued patience as our hard-working Box Office staff continue the mammoth task of contacting each ticket holder to process refunds and exchanges.
For the most up-to-date information regarding performances impacted by COVID-19 and our expected reopening date, please see our advice page here.
If you have any questions with regards to an upcoming performance at Brisbane Powerhouse, please contact the Box Office on [email protected].
Our staff are responding as promptly as they can but please be mindful it may take a little longer than usual for a reply.
We would like to acknowledge the global scale of this challenge and the uncertainty faced by each of us as individuals and as a community.
Brisbane Powerhouse is more than just a great building. We are a not-for-profit organisation, a community of creators, movers and dreamers and part of the very fabric of Brisbane.
If you are in a position to help us invest in the future of local artists, the creation of new works and to keep our awe-inspiring building operating during this challenging time, we encourage you to support the Brisbane Powerhouse Foundation with a tax-deductible donation.
We will continue to work with the Queensland Government, Brisbane City Council and industry bodies to ensure the most appropriate response to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.
We thank you for your understanding and patience during this unprecedented situation and we look forward to welcoming you back to the venue soon.
