FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BE IMMERSED IN BRISBANE’S QUEER HISTORY AT MELT FESTIVAL!
Upon their return from a sell-out season in London, The Sui Ensemble in partnership with Brisbane Powerhouse bring you the mythology, mysteries and misadventures of Brisbane’s LGBTQIA+ history in La Silhouette, an immersive theatre experience.
This June at M elt: Festival of Queer Arts and Culture, Brisbane Powerhouse will be transformed into an underground cabaret club where drag performers, punks, policemen and more are conjured to guide you through secrets of Brisbane’s past.
La Silhouette is theatre that immerses audiences in the personal, political and playful stories that have made queer culture the powerful and profoundly resilient presence it is today.
“Our history is not written down in history books – it lives in our bodies,” says director, Daniel Gough, “L a Silhouette is a way for audiences to reach out and touch our incredible stories, our unique past, and of course, to celebrate!
La Silhouette is about discovering who you are, who we are and how we are stronger together. What are you waiting for? Unravel the stories and mysteries at L a Silhouette.
