Gentlemen Songsters

Presented by Queensland Cabaret Festival

Fall in love with Brisbane’s favourite Ukulele dreamboats.

Tyrone and Lesley (David Megarrity and Samuel Vincent) present a concert about concerts full of songs about songs. These new standards offer romance from the age of the wireless, optimism of the ‘glass a third full’ kind, and the awkward thrill of the dance. Join the songsters for a celebration of the gentle power of song (and gentlemen).

With three Queensland Music Award nominations and critically acclaimed festival performances in Melbourne, Sydney, New Zealand and Cairns, the Gentlemen Songsters are sure to enrapture you with their bittersweet love songs and absurd performance style.

...Ukulele Heart is full of inspired silliness... Whether you’re eight or 80, Ukulele Heart will make you smile.

...like Leunig with a ukulele and big teeth

consummately performed... a wealth of riches hidden in this theatrical mountain... a kind of magic ticket to another world: imaginative, fun and visually striking.
