WhichWay Uncle

Presented by Queensland Music Festival and Sol Talk in association with Brisbane Powerhouse

Witness Australia’s most respected Indigenous artists come together to celebrate the essential role Uncles and the ‘Songman’ have played in over 40,000 years of traditional and contemporary Australian Indigenous Cultures.

WhichWay Uncle, a Waxing Lyrical style music-based conversation will be launched at Brisbane Powerhouse as part of the 2015 Queensland Music Festival program of events throughout July.

Getano Bann, Joe Geia and Bunna Lawrie combine more than 100 years of songwriting experience and storytelling in an inspirational show of musical collaboration and cultural wisdom. Joining them are a host of other talented Australian Indigenous musicians and leaders including Bob Weatherall, Glenn Skuthorpe and Troy Brady.

WhichWay Uncle will also contain the opportunity for the audience to participate in a Q&A session with these inspiring Indigenous cultural leaders.

How do I get to Brisbane Powerhouse?

Is parking available?
There is limited free-of-charge, all-day, on-site car parking at Brisbane Powerhouse. If you are travelling by car, please arrive early to secure a park. Additional free parking is available in New Farm Park accessible via our link road, which is opened after 5pm every day.

What time should I arrive?
It's best to arrive at least 30-40 minutes before the show start time to find a car park, pick up your tickets at box office and make your way to the venue. The doors of the venue will open approximately 10-15 minutes prior to show time.

Where do I pick up my tickets?
Tickets will be available for pick up from Box Office 60 minutes prior to show time.

Is there food and drink available
