Short+Sweet Festival: Strands

Theatre + Cabaret

Presented by Short+Sweet QLD in partnership with Brisbane Powerhouse

The biggest little play festival in the world.

Entering its ninth year in South East Queensland, Short+Sweet returns to Brisbane Powerhouse to present more than 40 new performance works by local artists – each unique and packing a punch.

A festival like no other, expect any night to turn from grisly drama to outlandish comedy to sultry song as audience members are rocketed along a roller-coaster ride of dramatic pursuits.

See up to ten plays or six cabaret acts at once, each less than ten minutes long, then vote for your favourite to send them through to the Gala Finals.

A lot can happen in ten minutes… and we’re here to prove it.
