RESTRUNG 2017: Heart Strings

Songs of Love and Death

Presented by Presented by Restrung Productions and Silver Sircus

Silver Sircus perform Heart Strings: Songs of Love & Death at Restrung 2017.

The work is an intimate chamber performance devised by James Lees and Lucinda Shaw of Brisbane cabaret-noir ensemble Silver Sircus.

Strings, piano and guitars will provide the delicate musical threads for this exploration of love and death in this sometimes joyous, sometimes dark expedition to the extremes of human emotion.

Lucinda and James have curated a program of original and interpreted work – drawing from the original music of Silver Sircus, The Viola Cloning Project (Richard Grantham & Wayne Jennings), The Invisible Numbers (Salliana Campbell & Matthew Englebrecht), and SS.Sebastian, as well as some carefully selected songs by Kate Bush, David Bowie and Jacques Brel.
