Michael Leunig: Ducks for Dark Times LIVE – Sold Out

Presented by Brisbane Powerhouse

Australia’s much-loved artist Michael Leunig shares his fondness for cartooning and commentary during this Brisbane-exclusive evening to celebrate the launch of his new book.

Ducks for Dark Times, Leunig’s twentieth collection of cartoons, provides a hilarious and uplifting shot in the arm and a soulful voice of reason in troubling times, from the master of improbable satire and simple expressions of care and hope.

Produced for newspaper publication in response to the news of the day, this collection of more than 120 cartoons uses deft and spirited humour and explores the issues plaguing modern existence.

Ducks for Dark Times is for anyone who is losing faith; who’s becoming exhausted or fed up with the news, and for those of us who feel we could do well to laugh or weep a little more. This collection is a must-have for Michael Leunig fans.

Michael Leunig will be signing copies of his books on the evening courtesy of Riverbend Books.

Writers+Ideas is supported by O’Neill Architecture and RPS.
