Ivan Aristeguieta

Presented by Brisbane Comedy Festival and Laughing Stock Productions

Ever since he was young, Ivan wanted to be a Matador.

Star of his own ABC show Lost in Pronunciation, Australia’s favourite Venezuelan makes his Brisbane debut. Matador is about the fight we all have within ourselves to love something despite its horns. All jokes, no bull.

WINNER, Best Newcomer Award, Sydney Comedy Festival 2016

Aristeguieta’s performance is outstanding and he leaves the audience with warm smiles on their faces. My advice: run to buy a ticket, on the off chance that there are still any available. ★★★★

Like the obsessed cook he is, Aristeguieta throws together the ingredients of sharp humour, personal anecdotes, Australian impersonations and clever observations to produce a perfect comedic dish. ★★★★

Once you understand he was also a stand-up comic back home in Venezuela, you can truly appreciate his talent for keeping the funnies rolling in whatever language he choose... Brilliant show. ★★★★
