An image speaks a thousand words, while beautiful music can take an audience on a journey of encyclopaedic proportion!

Join legendary artist and cultural commentator Michael Leunig as he creates original artworks live on stage, accompanied and animated by Tenzin Choegyal and friends’ evocative music. Leunig’s unique talented artistry and philosophy is simple, soulful and mystical.

The music and the art will be reflective of the theme, ‘Nurturing the Earth’ and will truly be a feast for the senses and the soul. Tenzin will be joined on stage by Shen Flindell on Tabla and Marcello Milani on Guitar and Vocals (Tibet2Timbuk2), as well as Michael Askill on gongs and singing bowl on Trumpet and Richard Grantham on Viola.

Be a part of history with 1000 Stories as part of the tenth annual Festival of Tibet.

Is parking available?
There is limited free-of-charge, all-day, on-site car parking at Brisbane Powerhouse. If you are travelling by car, please arrive early to secure a park. Additional free parking is available in New Farm Park accessible via our link road, which is opened after 5pm every day.

What time should I arrive?
It's best to arrive at least 30-40 minutes before the show start time to find a car park, pick up your tickets at box office and make your way to the venue. The doors of the venue will open approximately 10-15 minutes prior to show time.

Where do I pick up my tickets?
Tickets will be available for pick up from Box Office 60 minutes prior to show time.

Is there food and drink available

Brisbane Powerhouse has two on-site restaurants; Bar Alto and Watt Restaurant + Bar. More information can be found on our Eat + Drink page.
