The Epicurean Shark

Presented by Sam Bowden in partnership with Brisbane Powerhouse.

Sam Bowden loves having a good time. He’s very good at it too. However sometimes he enjoys himself so much that it eventually turns into a bad time. And he’s not alone.

The Epicurean Shark is a show determined to get to the bottom of one big question; why are human beings drawn to environments, people and substances that are intrinsically harmful, all in the never-ending search to feel good?

Why do we smoke when we know it’ll kill us? Why do we party so hard we ruin relationships? Why does too much of a good thing kill you?

Having supported the likes of Danny Bhoy, Brian Posehn and Lawrence Mooney, Sam Bowden’s debut solo show is an effort to tackle the only big questions he’s smart enough to comprehend.

Buy tickets to his show so he can blow the money on the vices he’s going to joke about.

Part of Wonderland Festival 2018.

Gleefully harpooning… full of offbeat charm.

Race, youth, drugs… he’ll play it with smarts.
