Festival of Tibet is the perfect opportunity to experience Tibetan culture and to renew mind, body and spirit through workshops and ideas.

The Festival of Tibet will explore themes of compassion, conflict, occupation, love, peace, migration, environmental justice and human rights.

Tibetan Painting with Karma

The work of master artist Karma Phuntsok is a unique fusion of classical Tibetan motifs and contemporary Buddhist art. Spend some special one-on-one time with Karma while learning simple techniques used in traditional Tibetan painting.

I Heart MoMo: Tibetan Cooking with Wanday

Learn the art of making the perfect Tibetan dumpling – the momo! Momo master and West End Market favourite Wanday will demonstrate how it’s done and share his secrets in this delicious workshop suitable for all ages – with plenty of time for hands on, practical learning. The result will be a plate full of delicious momos and a new dish to add to your kitchen repertoire. All ingredients provided.

Chakra Healing with Sal Battaglia

Learn about chakras and how, through the use of aromatherapy, they can become a dynamic tool for personal and spiritual growth. Chakras represent the major energy centres throughout the body and are connected to mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. Subtle aromatherapy draws on the energetic and vibrational qualities of essential oils which can be used in restoring harmonic resonance. Join this informative workshop with Perfect Potion founder Sal Battaglia, qualified aromatherapist and author of the Complete Guide to Aromatherapy.

Is parking available?
There is limited free-of-charge, all-day, on-site car parking at Brisbane Powerhouse. If you are travelling by car, please arrive early to secure a park. Additional free parking is available in New Farm Park accessible via our link road, which is opened after 5pm on performance days.

What time should I arrive?
It's best to arrive at least 30-40 minutes before the show start time to find a car park, pick up your tickets at box office and make your way to the venue. The doors of the venue will open approximately 10-15 minutes prior to show time.

Where do I pick up my tickets?
Tickets will be available for pick up from Box Office 60 minutes prior to show time.
