A Unique and Spectacular Moment

By UK's Circa69

Presented by Brisbane Powerhouse

A show which begins as a video game and ends in the real world. It takes two strangers, gives them each a character, a set of rules, a walkie talkie and a goal: to go into the real world, to create a unique and spectacular moment and to document it.

Developed as a collaboration between immersive artists Simon Wilkinson and Myra Appannah, the show references psychological research into human happiness and parallel concepts associated with games design. It explores the concept of ‘ritual’ both in terms of routine actions which are habitual and repetitive and with regard to ceremonial actions and conscious interventions designed to celebrate and magnify critical life changes.

Expect surprises, expect to be challenged and expect to leave with a big smile on your face.

DIGITAL POWERHOUSE IS POWERED BY QUT.

A Unique and Spectacular Moment has been created with the support of public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
