ABOUT THE SHOW

In 2017, Jelena Dokic made international headlines with the release of her memoir, Unbreakable. Years of shocking abuse at the hands of her father – physical, emotional and financial – were revealed by the former tennis World No. 4.

Fearless, Jelena’s second book, shares the impact her formative years have had on her, and her refusal to be defined by her trauma – she is determined to grow, be stronger and wiser because of it, and wants to help others who may also be suffering.

How do you find hope when all is lost? How do you find strength when you feel broken? How do you find your voice when you feel worthless and scared?

The past years have taught Jelena Dokic many tough and important lessons, and now she is ready to share them to help others find their voice and the power to thrive.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jelena Dokic has had a storied and well-documented life and tennis career both on and off the tennis court.

From the outside, she seemed to have the perfect story. She was a refugee turned World Number Four on the tennis circuit and by 16, she had defeated world number one Martina Hingis at Wimbledon. After a string of injuries and a battle with depression, Jelena has made comeback after comeback.

Jelena’s previously released best-selling autobiography Unbreakable, details her challenging, heartbreaking, and inspiring journey. With immense vulnerability, she talks about the physical and emotional abuse she suffered for over 20 years at the hands of her father.

Jelena now pours her efforts into commentary as one of the key voices of the Australian Open and is a motivational speaker on topics that include resilience, mental health, and empowerment.

"There’s so much power in storytelling, so much strength in sharing. If we voice these things, we no longer surrender control to our abuses; we no longer bottle up our most difficult moments." - Jelena Dokic
