P.S. BRISBANE POWERHOUSE REVEALS A NEW STORE FOR BRISBANE

28 NOV 2022

Brisbane Powerhouse has unveiled the newest addition to Queensland’s home for contemporary culture – P.S.

Powerhouse Store, P.S. is a thoughtfully designed and curated retail experience, a postscript to each visit, and an elevated online shopping portal.

P.S. occupies a dedicated and architecturally designed space inside Brisbane Powerhouse, artfully displaying more than 200 premium products.

Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner congratulated Brisbane Powerhouse on bringing this unique offering to visitors and residents of the river city.

“Every purchase made helps support Brisbane Powerhouse in telling the future stories of our city,” Cr Schrinner said.

“I encourage everyone to visit Brisbane’s exciting new retail venture.”

Brisbane Powerhouse CEO/Artistic Director Kate Gould said P.S. sells a selection of meaningful items from considered brands that are sourced locally and from makers around the world.

“We believe that considered purchasing begins with a good story and every piece we source and stock tells a unique story,” Ms Gould said.

“We’re lucky to have industry experts Sheila Bryden and Kate Morris joining the P.S. team to curate the store’s offering.

P.S. sparks beautiful connections between makers, their craft and their products and those who appreciate the beauty of form and function through storytelling.

“Additionally, the profits from every purchase made at P.S. helps fund Brisbane Powerhouse’s arts program.”

P.S. stocks contemporary handmade items from exclusive designers and small-batch collections using premium and sustainable materials.

Products range from alluring fragrances to high-quality children’s toys to artisanal homewares to wearable art including scarves, accessories and jewellery.

Makers include Australian ceramic artist, writer and curator Shannon Garson, Quandamooka artist and designer Delvene Cockatoo-Collins and Yarra Valley- owned Mr Jasper Says.

P.S. was made possible thanks to Brisbane City Council.
