Brisbane Festival

A mesmerising symphony of light, sound and joy, staged in a breathtaking mirror maze.

Kaleidoscope scales a deceptively simple optical device to epic proportions, allowing you to step inside a constantly shifting illusion. A brand-new solo project by one of the masterminds behind House of Mirrors and 1000 Doors, Kaleidoscope provides the brave and adventurous with a new and different space to explore, contemplate, and dream.

An experience that disorientates the senses and challenges our preconceptions, providing access to a new kind of engagement with beauty and tranquillity, within a colour field of ever-changing light.

Kaleidoscope has been supported with funds from the Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund – an Australian Government initiative and Brisbane City Council.

Under 5 years and over 75 years are free. (Patrons must register for tickets)

Children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Note: The day experience does not include lights. This ambient experience is created using reflections of daylight.

Please ensure you arrive 5 minutes before the performance time to guarantee entry. If you are not present for the session’s commencement, unfortunately, you will lose your spot in the session.

We acknowledge the Jagera/Turrbal peoples, the First Nation Traditional Owners of the land on which we gather. We pay respects to all Elders past and present and acknowledge the young leaders who are working beside our Elders in our cultural industries. We recognise all First Nation peoples as the original storytellers of these lands and acknowledge the important role they continue to play in our community.
