Curiocity Brisbane 2020 has been cancelled to meet the Federal Government’s directive on limiting non-essential mass gatherings to prevent the spread of COVID-19. For more information visit

spHERes is an immersive installation that offers visitors the opportunity to physically engage with the topic of equal gender representation within the creative industries through a tactile and experiential medium.

Combining beauty and insight, this installation uses data-generated patterns of softly falling smoke-filled bubbles, which gently disintegrate when touched.

The pattern of bubbles illustrates the gradual increase in media representation of women across the creative sectors over two decades, with the composed musical soundscape also created from these datasets.

The spatial installation welcomes visitors to play with the work and loops the patterns throughout the day.
