ABOUT THE ARTIST

Sara Foster writes page-turning psychological suspense thrillers with strong female leads. Her latest novel, When She Was Gone (2025), begins when an au pair and two small children vanish from a remote Australian beach, and is a race-against-time thriller, exploring themes around misogyny, wealth, power and control. Sara is also the author of the acclaimed dystopian thriller The Hush and seven more bestselling psychological suspense stories. Two of her novels have been optioned for television, and You Don’t Know Me was adapted into a chart-topping drama podcast series by Listnr. Sara has a PhD in creative writing (studying maternal representations in fiction) and writes regularly on Substack, for writers at The Resilient Author, and for readers at Story Matters. She lives in Perth, Western Australia, with her husband, two daughters, three cats, Luna the cavoodle and Sunny the bearded dragon.

Zahid Gamieldien is an author, screenwriter, editor and writing tutor. His debut novel, All the Missing Children, was published by Ultimo Press in 2024. He’s had short fiction published in literary journals including Overland, Meanjin, Kill Your Darlings, Island Magazine and many others. His work was listed for the Richell Prize and selected for inclusion in the ‘best of’ fortieth anniversary edition of The UTS Writers’ Anthology. His unproduced screenwriting has been listed for awards in Australia and overseas, and as an editor and writing tutor he’s helped several authors get their work into print. He’s received funding to undertake a residency at Varuna House and two major arts grants from Create NSW. He has a new short story coming out in Overland, and his second novel will probably be released in late 2026.

Laura McCluskey is a writer, producer and actor. As well as writing novels, she has penned several film and television projects for her production company Sibylline Films. Laura is also co-founder of Three Fates Theatre Company, and has performed across theatre, film, and television. The Wolf Tree is her debut novel. She lives in Naarm/Melbourne.

Angie Faye Martin (Kooma/Kamilaroi/European) lives on Gubbi Gubbi Country (Redcliffe). She worked in public policy for 15 years before launching a freelance editing business, Versed Writings. She has a Bachelor of Public Health, a Masters of Anthropology, and a passion for fiction. Melaleuca is her debut novel.
