The Idea of North is such a group of musicians, and together they create a sound to behold. The way they blend their voices is magical. At home, they broke new ground for vocal music by taking out two ARIA Awards for Best Jazz Album (2010 and 2013) – notably, their 2013 album Smile was the first contemporary a cappella recording to win an ARIA. With a catalogue of fifteen albums, including two live albums, these musicians have continually pushed the boundaries of a cappella performance.
