Lovers of LOLs, prepare for a macro dose of the good medicine, as Brisbane Comedy Festival returns for its sweet 16th edition at venues across the city from 23 April to 25 May 2025.
Queensland’s largest and most anticipated comedy event will see a power squad of Australian and international comedians deal out a whole month of belly laughs at Brisbane Powerhouse, The Tivoli, Fortitude Music Hall and The Princess Theatre.
After a record-breaking 2024 run, with over 82,000 tickets sold across 400 shows, Brisbane Comedy Festival is excited to reveal the first instalment of acts that will have you chuckling hard in 2025.
First things first though! Bringing all the glamour and kicking off the season of serotonin in style, Brisbane Comedy Festival Opening Gala is back for 2025! Dress to dazzle and take in an all-star line-up of international and Australian comedians at Fortitude Music Hall while partying with fellow comedy aficionados. The Opening Gala always delivers the goods, and it sells out fast! Tickets are available from 10am, today. Jump on it!
Leading the first lineup announcement of laughs for 2025 are beloved comedy veterans, Irish-Australian doyen of drole Jimeoin, NZ national treasure Rhys Darby making his Festival debut, and Geordie star of stand-up Ross Noble.
They’ll be joined by Kiwi stars Have You Been Paying Attention?, Cheap Seats and Thank God You’re Here Melanie Bracewell and Ray O’Leary, alongside local comedic legend Nazeem Hussain, creator and star of hit shows Legally Brown and Orange Is the New Brown.
