Daniel Evans Curates MELT Festival 2022
16 SEP 2022
Internationally acclaimed writer, director, and producer Daniel Evans, infamous for his inventive work across theatre, festivals, print and television, is the creative force behind this year’s MELT Festival.
In 2022, Evans has created an experiential space of confession and expression, where queer art, artists, allies, icons and ideas congregate in an explosion of love and (be)longing.
This sparkling transformation of MELT features unconventional performances, neon chapels, dance halls, ‘pleasuredomes’, and secret cinemas, continuing Brisbane Powerhouse’s legacy of curating ground-breaking and disruptive experiences.
As co-founder of performance collective The Good Room, and with a pedigree of working with Queensland University of Technology, University of Queensland, Griffith University, University of Sunshine Coast, Brisbane Festival, Endemol Shine, iTV, Channel Nine, Network Ten, SBS, Frankie Magazine and more, Evans has brought his extraordinary creative flair to an array of projects.
We are thrilled to have such an innovative and contemporary mind behind the scenes of MELT Festival 2022 and cannot wait for audiences to be part of the experience.
