Be Hear Now
ABOUT THE SHOW
Be Hear Now is an electroacoustic immersive sound journey that moves beyond the traditional sound bath, combining ancient and modern instruments with amplification to create layers of beneficial vibration in its full spectrum and possibility.
The journey features Phil Smart (turntables, crystal and Himalayan bowls, percussion), Fin Wegener (modular synthesisers, zither and flute), Sachi Mehta (voice) and Julia Beiers (bass guitar and effects).
At its heart, Be Hear Now is about creating a safe and intentional sonic space for relaxation, reflection, healing and self-transformation, grounded in ritual and intention.
Part of BEMAC’s Liminal World 2026 season.
Before You Arrive:
The experience runs for around two and a half hours, beginning at 7pm with 30 minutes to arrive and settle in, followed by a 90-minute performance and 30 minutes for integration and conversation.
Audiences lie on rugs on the floor during the performance, with no seating available. You’re welcome to bring a yoga mat or pillow for extra comfort. If lying down is not comfortable for you, please contact BEMAC ahead of time so we can make arrangements.
ABOUT BEMAC
We are an electroacoustic ensemble creating immersive sound journeys with ancient and modern instruments from across continents and cultures. Our work takes the sound bath into a new realm of vibration, using layers of electronic sound and amplification so that the frequencies can be felt through the body as well as heard.
Alongside the music, we care deeply about the space we hold. We set out to curate a safe sonic environment for relaxation, reflection and personal growth, grounded in ritual and intention, and to dissolve the unspoken hierarchies that can make sound-based practice feel exclusive.
