The Ten Years of Big Fork Comedy Gala – a party show one decade in the making! Celebrate this milestone with Big Fork Theatre – Brisbane’s home of improv, stand-up and sketch comedy.
Featuring some of Big Fork’s favourite and iconic comedy offerings, old friends, new friends and special guests, the Comedy Gala tips its hat to all of what has made Big Fork Theatre a cult favourite in Brisbane. In fact, it’s so special that Big Fork Theatre will be taking residence at the Underground Theatre at the iconic Brisbane Powerhouse for this one-night-only performance.
Be ready to laugh heartily at a classic Cool Story Bro, applaud your favourite musical comedy from the Tuning Forks and even shed a tear as the Directors of Big Fork Theatre reflect on the fun of the last ten years.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Big Fork Theatre is a welcoming Brisbane improv and comedy institution focused on building a community, creating and supporting quality comedy, and running Brisbane’s biggest and best improv training centre.
Since 2015, Big Fork Theatre has established a cult following in Brisbane, with sell-out runs at the Brisbane Comedy Festival, Anywhere Theatre Festival, Melt, BrisAsia Festival and many more.
After outgrowing Big Fork’s original venue which housed packed-to-the-rafters twice-weekly shows in Paddington from 2017 to 2021, Big Fork Theatre established its own venue in Fortitude Valley to give home-grown Brisbane comedy a permanent home. In 2025, Big Fork’s home on St Paul’s Terrace will serve as the HQ for the Big Fork Comedy Festival, a nine-day celebration of everything comedy.
Ten years ago, Big Fork Theatre set out to support collaborative, ensemble based improvised and sketch comedy, and that commitment to local comedy is still in place today.
