Inspired by the spirit of the 80s, this cabaret-style comedy quasi-musical with dance routines and strange rituals features the best songs of all time (obviously) and more than a couple of cult movie references.
Four ordinary women living in South-East Queensland, come face to face with their biggest challenge yet: middle age – caring for children and parents, maintaining careers and propping up friends while trying to hold it all together.
They seek refuge in each other…and the Dirty Fame Flash Candles Club: a place where you too can indulge your inner 80s movie star.
Come join this footloose foursome and satisfy your yearnings for a fearless, frivolous night of dirty dancing, songs, one liners and memorable freeze frames.

Dirty Fame Flash Candles Club is the winner of 2 x Matilda Awards (Best Musical/Cabaret and Best Ensemble). This is an experience for anyone who loves 80s movies, wants a joyous night out and is ready for some onstage and in-audience shenanigans. We encourage you to dress up, grab your besties, your partner, your mum, even your kids (over 15 of course) and join up to a club where everyone is welcome. Our club mission is “making sense of difficult feelings by experiencing 80s movie climaxes” so come along to this “new members” night for a cabaret-style comedy quasi-musical with dance routines and strange rituals.
