ABOUT THE ARTIST

Helen Goh is an acclaimed baking columnist, psychologist, and cookbook author known for her inventive recipes that weave together Asian, Middle Eastern, and Western influences. Born in Malaysia and having begun her culinary career in Melbourne, Helen later moved to London, where she became the longtime pastry chef and recipe developer for the Ottolenghi group. She co-authored the international bestseller Sweet with Yotam Ottolenghi, and their second collaboration, Comfort—published in 2024—was also nominated for a James Beard Award. Helen is a baking columnist for the Good Weekend Magazine and The Guardian Feast, bringing a distinctive perspective to food through the lens of psychology. In her first solo book, Baking and the Meaning of Life Helen explores not only how we bake, but why it matters. She lives in London with her husband and two sons.
