ABOUT THE SHOW

Live at the Trocadero is a classic Australian musical set in 1942 in Brisbane during World War 11.   As American servicemen arrive in Brisbane, music, romance and rivalry collide inside the iconic Trocadero dance hall.  Inspired by real events surrounding the Battle of Brisbane, Live at the Trocadero blends nostalgia, live 1940’s jazz style music and powerful storytelling in an unforgettable theatrical experience.

Theatreroo (formerly Dianne Gough Productions) is a Brisbane theatre company that has for many years presented 12 exclusively Brisbane written stage shows and claimed a QPAC attendance record for Macbeth: The Contemporary Rock Opera 10 years ago. Theatreroo recently performed a season of Honeyland – the Musical at The Triad Theatre in New York and Baby Boomer, ran for 5 months at The Basement in 2023. Theatreroo is planning a season of Live at the Trocadero in New York in October.
