Penelope Trappes + The Wild
ABOUT THE SHOW
Experience two new works in one evening of emotion and sound. UK-based Australian-born musician and ethereal soundscaper Penelope Trappes makes inky dream pop that’s as heavy and welcoming as a weighted blanket. Touring the first release of her hand-pressed record label: Heavenly Spheres, a delicate study of solitude.
Joined on the night by Meanjin rock group The Wild, who will breathe new life into The Cure’s 1982 album Pornography.
This is a ‘Pay What You Wish’ performance.
Supported by Live Music Australia – an Australian Government initiative.
Part of ΩHM 2024.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Brighton-based artist Penelope Trappes is best known for her experimental vocals, creating intimate and sacred soundscapes that focus on minimalism, spaciousness and shadows.
