ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Dr Ahona Guha is a clinical and forensic psychologist, and a survivor with lived experience of complex trauma. She works in the field of public forensic mental health and in private clinical practice, largely focusing on treating clients with trauma.

Madonna King is an award-winning author, whose understanding of children’s lives is valued through speaking and writing engagements for school communities across Australia. As a journalist and commentator, she works across TV, radio and online, and all her books are based on hundreds of expert interviews. In August 2026 she will release her latest book Screen Wise – Take back control of screentime for toddlers to teens. Previous titles include Being 14, Fathers and Daughters, Ten-Ager and Saving Our Kids.

Christine Jackman is a communications consultant, award-winning former journalist and author of two non-fiction books: Turning Down The Noise: The Quiet Power of Silence in a Busy World and Inside Kevin07. A passionate member of the Brisbane writing community, she currently serves on the Brisbane Writers Festival board.
