When sharp-tongued Sydney-sider Ruby Teys escapes to a small town in Sardinia for some sun and a strong espresso, a flirtatious cappuccino with a brooding local barista turns into the date from hell! 

With no exit in sight and everything spiralling out of control, she blurts out a lie so outrageous that it stops him cold… and pulls her in deeper. 

Instead of sipping limoncello and ghosting gracefully, Ruby is suddenly stuck playing the role of a lifetime in a sleepy Sardinian village where everyone’s a suspect, secrets don’t stay buried and Stefano’s cousin just happens to be connecting all the dots. 

Tangled in a web of pasta, passion and preposterous pretending, will Ruby fake it ’til she makes it out… alive?
