By the time Tahlia Isaac was 29 years old, she’d survived years cycling in and out of prison and a decade of addiction. Now, this remarkable criminologist and social justice advocate has gathered the stories of 20 women who are rebuilding their lives after prison. One of these incredible survivors, Rocket Bretherton, will be joining her on stage for this very special Brisbane Writers Festival event.

Once told by a judge that there was no hope for rehabilitation, Rocket has defied every expectation — transforming a life once marked by incarceration and addiction into one of purpose, leadership, and impact.
