Music Metamorphosis for MELT 2022
MELT Festival as you know it has been transformed.
Welcoming international artists from the scenes of RnB, dance, hip-hop and bounce, Brisbane Powerhouse is undergoing a musical metamorphosis and you don’t want to miss it.
An unabashed celebration of queer art, artists and ideas – MELT Festival 2022 will feature global music icons as headliners – including disco duchess Sophie Ellis-Bextor, queen of bounce Big Freedia and new breed radical hip-hop artist Jesswar – along with their divine support acts including Kinder, London DJ Jodie Harsh and NZ rapper JessB.
Taking inspiration from the past with the likes of Violent Soho, The Polyphonic Spree and Gotye, our theatres now resemble neon chapels and dance club nights with levelled floors for full dance party capacity.
A power station of the 1920s is reborn, again.
Full MELT line-up announced 13 September. Be ready!
