NEWS – 03 OCT 2024

Dear Neighbour

We are excited to announce the return of Night Feast, Brisbane’s premier creative and culinary event, from 16 October to 10 November 2024. This spring, Night Feast will feature a vibrant menu of food, immersive art and music throughout the Brisbane Powerhouse precinct.

This season brings back fan-favourite restaurants such as Donna Chang, Gerard’s, Hoy Pinoy, Southside, Mary Mae’s, La Mano, Wonderbao, Anchalee’s, Bugster’s, Ngon, Lek’s Thai and Louis B. Additionally, we’ll welcome new offerings from Gelato Messina, Central, Byblos, Diviners x Savile Row, Allonda, Calida, and Cartel Del Taco. The Sapporo Izakaya also returns with iconic Japanese restaurant Boom Boom Room.

Traffic and Parking

During the event, we anticipate increased traffic and full carparks at Brisbane Powerhouse. To manage this, patron vehicle access to Lamington Street will be reduced when carparks reach capacity. These restrictions will apply from Wednesday to Friday, 4.30pm to 9pm, and on Saturday and Sunday, 3pm to 9pm. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but it’s necessary to ensure safety and smooth traffic flow.

To assist our traffic controllers in recognising local residents and prioritising your street access, we’ve attached a sign for your vehicle. Please display this sign on your dashboard or the underside of your sun visor. If you need additional copies, they are available at the Brisbane Powerhouse front desk.

We kindly remind you to follow all traffic regulations and to park in designated areas only.

Council Patrols

Brisbane City Council Parking Compliance Officers will be patrolling the precinct and surrounding streets during the event. Council operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so if you have concerns about illegal parking we encourage you to report it directly to Council on (07) 3403 8888 so they can investigate.

If you have any feedback or suggestions on traffic management, please write to us at [email protected] or call (07) 3358 8622. General neighbourhood announcements can be found here: https://brisbanepowerhouse.org/neighbourhood/

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to improve traffic conditions and safety in our community.

Yours sincerely

Traffic and Parking
Since the first Night Feast (March 2023), we’ve been trialing some changes to manage increased traffic flow and illegal parking in the precinct.

As such, we will be reducing visitor access to Lamington Street from Wednesdays-Fridays(4:30-9pm) and Saturdays-Sundays (3-9pm) during Night Feast (4 -29 October 2023).

We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, but we believe that it’s necessary to ensure the safety of our community and the smooth flow of traffic.

To assist our traffic controllers in recognising our local residents and prioritising their street access, we’re re distributing the signs that can be displayed in your vehicle. We suggest that you place this sign either on your car’s dashboard or the underside of your car’s sun visor. If you’d like an additional copy of this sign, please collect your copy at Brisbane Powerhouse’s front desk.

We also remind you to please follow all traffic regulations and park your vehicle only in designated areas.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work together to improve traffic conditions and safety in our community.
If you have any feedback or recommendations on how to further improve traffic management in the area, please write to [email protected] or call (07) 3358 8622.

Council’s Parking Compliance Officers will proactively patrol the precinct and surrounding streets during the event. You may be interested to know that Council has officers working 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, should you have any concerns with illegal parking we encourage you to contact Council directly on (07) 3403 8888 to report such incidents so that they can investigate.

Night Feast patrons are encouraged to seek alternative transport options to driving. In addition to regular services, Brisbane City Council will operate Night Feast Express FREE Bus service to Night Feast looping from Brisbane City Hall (Stop 20 Adelaide St) via Central Station and ‘Park n Ride’ at BCC’s Wickham Tce Carpark with set down at Brunswick St, New Farm Park (Stop 17 Parkview).
This service will run 4:15pm to 9:10pm Wednesdays-Fridays, departing every 20 minutes and 2:50pm to 9:10pm Saturdays-Sundays.

Yours sincerely

NEWS – 14 AUG 2023

Dear Neighbour

Today Brisbane Powerhouse launched a unique event on the roof of its building. Entitled Vertigo, it will be the city’s first vertical restaurant, an exclusive gastronomic dining experience four stories above the ground overhanging Brisbane Powerhouse’s façade.

Combining high adventure with fine dining, guests are escorted to the rooftop, where they don safety harnesses and climb out to their seats to experience sky-high city views and a 17 metre drop beneath their feet.

Adventurers are served a meal crafted by Brisbane Powerhouse restaurant Bar Alto using local ingredients. Once dinner is complete, diners have the option to descend through Brisbane Powerhouse or end the meal with one final adrenalin burst by dropline down the building’s façade.

Opening October 2023, Vertigo’s eight mounted tables (16 places) are available to book each evening, Thursday to Sunday, weather permitting.

As the project is a quiet dining experience (ie. no music or sound) and the numbers participating are limited, we anticipate minimal impact on the neighbouring community.

To find out more, go to www.vertigobrisbane.com.au.

Yours sincerely
Brisbane Powerhouse
