Located on Yaggera and Turrbal Country, Brisbane Powerhouse is a magnificent 1920s power station reborn as Brisbane’s home of contemporary art and culture.
Opening minds through the arts and culture—that’s our vision at Brisbane Powerhouse.
Brisbane Powerhouse is more than a venue – with your support it has become a leader of contemporary art, creating opportunities that are artist-led. The journey so far has seen the creation of new performance venues, art spaces and festivals that highlight the corners of music genres, communities and feasts that turn food into art.
In the past year we have achieved a lot:
– 1 million visits
– 152,000 tickets sold
– 1,660 events and performances
– 30 Auslan interpreted performances; 400 Auslan tickets sold
– Access Vertigo – new accessible experience
– Dendy Powerhouse – A permanent outdoor cinema
Delivering world-class arts and cultural experiences takes innovation, perseverance and resources. As a not for profit organisation, Brisbane Powerhouse runs lean. We employ a small team who deliver four festivals and an astonishing year-round program of events and performances.
Your support enables Brisbane Powerhouse to continue providing opportunities for artists and life enriching experiences for the whole community. Learn more below about how you can support Brisbane Powerhouse during this era of growth and continue the journey with us.
