The inaugural ΩHM – Festival of Other Music came to a close this weekend, featuring sold-out shows, international icons and more than 6,000 music lovers flocking to Brisbane Powerhouse.

Lawrence English, co-curator of ΩHM, and acclaimed composer, sound artist, and record label owner (Room40) worked with Arts Program Director and co-curator, Brad Spolding to bring together some of the most exciting and boundary-pushing artists from Australia and around the world.

The debut festival has made its mark nationally as a highly-anticipated annual celebration of adventurous approaches to sound and performance.

One of the most anticipated events of ΩHM, AV Triple Bill mesmerised audiences last Friday night in a field of light, music and lasers. The event saw exhilarating performances from celebrated sound and audio-visual artists Robin Fox, mHz, and Yann Novak. The night concluded with the Australian premiere of Robin Fox’s new laser work Triptych – a striking and hypnotic web of light and sound.
