Join one of the world’s most prolific and popular writers, Alexander McCall Smith for one night only, at Brisbane Powerhouse this coming March.

The award-winning UK author delves deep into his latest book from the perennially adored The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series.

In A Song of Comfortable Chairs, Grace Makutsi encounters quandaries that will require all of her and Mma Ramotswe’s cleverness and generosity to resolve. With the kindness, generosity, and good sense for which the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency is known, in the end, these matters will be set right.

Alexander McCall Smith is the author of over one hundred books on a wide array of subjects, including the award-winning The No.1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series. He is also the author of the Isabel Dalhousie novels and the world’s longest-running serial novel, 44 Scotland Street. His books have been translated into forty-six languages. Alexander McCall Smith is also Professor Emeritus of Medical Law at the University of Edinburgh and holds honorary doctorates from thirteen universities.

This performance is Auslan interpreted, proudly supported by the Dalwood-Wylie Foundation.
