Powerkids: Little Artists at Home with Lara Deak

Step inside and meet the magnificent creatures of our muddled-up Imaginary MenageriePowerkids: Little Artists at Home, led by internationally acclaimed Imaginary Theatre, is our new online creative workshop series recommended for children ages 0-5 and their carers.

Join us online every Tuesday in a multi-art experience, as we take you through some amazing and easy to achieve ideas for transforming everyday objects and materials into an interactive art installation, blending puppetry, performance and play.   

Join us as Lara Deak takes you on a creative adventure with some wonderful make-at-home activities. You could pat the tail of a rare Whatchamacallit or burrow through nocturnal tunnels, jump across a lilypad lagoon or perhaps transform into an animal yourself!

Powerkids: Little Artists at Play is a creative play workshop series for children and their carers. Presented by Brisbane Powerhouse and Imaginary Theatre, this weekly program is a chance for children and their grown ups to connect, create and learn through fun and interactive play, Every term a new artist hosts a fresh session of Powerkids to stretch your little one's imagination and get them moving.

Powerkids: Little Artists at Play is a collaboration between Brisbane Powerhouse and Imaginary Theatre. Imaginary Theatre is a Brisbane based company creating outstanding art and arts experiences for children aged 0–12 and their communities. They engage children and families in contemporary multi-art form experiences that sit on the intersection of childhood, creativity and community. Over 70,000 people have seen or participated in Imaginary projects since 2006 in Queensland, nationally and internationally.
