ABOUT THE SHOW
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Gender Diverse, Queer, Intersex and A-Sexual Elders and their allies are invited to this fabulous, free social event of the season. Learn new dances, bring your friends and meet wonderful new people.
LGBTQIA+ Elders Dance Club is a safe, joyous and inclusive space for the whole community, elders, allies, friends and family. Come one, come all!
No dance experience required! No booking registration required, just show up with your dancing shoes on. Light refreshments are provided.
This Dance Club is proudly presented as part of Queensland Seniors Month. Supported by Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
All The Queens Men is an independent arts organisation founded by award-winning performance artists Tristan Meecham and Bec Reid.
The Company is proud of its history of collaborating with diverse communities from the ground up and, over the past decade, has worked with a wide variety of people: rainbow ‘elders’ in dance halls; young people in schools and museums; LGBTQIA+ communities in city squares and public spaces; culturally diverse communities in parliament and council chambers; and inclusive communities in local halls and arts centres.
Dance Club has been presented around the country since 2016.
