
MELT Festival 2023

MELT Festival, Brisbane’s forward and fearless annual celebration of queer art, artists, allies and ideas is back for an eighth edition with a vibrant and eclectic 2023 program.
Featuring ground-breaking home-grown music artists alongside international sensations, provocative and hilarious theatre, exhibitions showcasing exquisite photography, textile art and installations as well as a book launch and talk, MELT will take over Brisbane Powerhouse from November 11 – 26.

SPENCER TUNICK – TIDE

New York-based contemporary Artist, Spencer Tunick is seeking volunteers for a unique opportunity to participate in a series of photographic installations on Saturday 18 November as part of Brisbane’s leading queer arts and culture festival, Melt.
Titled TIDE, the works will be created in various locations along the Brisbane River in a celebration of diversity.

Kicking off the festival party in unmissable style, Kah-Lo opens Melt with her house-laced hits and dance beats. Supported by emerging First Nations artist, Djanaba.
Following this epic show will be a Melt opening party to remember, as Brisbane Powerhouse comes alive with DJs, lights and dancing!
